CHARLOTTE, NC – Rosenberg’s backward curved motorized
impellers in sizes from 8.86 inches to 24.8 inches (225 to 630mm) are a
perfect fit for supply/evaporator or exhaust fans in railway passenger
or driver cabins. Specified as a fan assembly (DKHM models) or as a
motorized impeller without inlet cone (DKHR models), they feature a
high-performance free-running impeller design for more efficient air
movement.
Rosenberg is the world’s
largest supplier of motorized impellers to the rail transportation
industry. Rosenberg DKHM and DKHR models offer HVAC design engineers
optimal performance with no drive belt and no external motor or shaft.
Their compact footprint, as small as 8.94 x 6.67, makes them an
excellent choice for high-efficiency evaporator applications.
Available in sizes 8.86, 9.84, 11, 12.40, 14, 15.75, 17.72,
19.60, 22.05, and 24.80 inches of diameter (225, 250, 280, 315, 355,
400, 450, 500, 560, and 630 mm), they can provide air movement up to
9,000 cfm. Airflow, power, rotational speeds, noise level, overall
dimensions and finish can be specified to meet the exact requirements of
the application.
Their rugged external rotor motors are IP54-rated. Impellers
are mounted directly to the rotor of the asynchronous external rotor
motor, and are superbly balanced together with the rotor to ensure long
life, quiet operation, and low vibrations.
Rosenberg backward curved fans are 100 percent speed
controllable. Thermal contacts provide standard motor protection.
Insulation is to Class F. Sealed or ceramic ball bearings, motor
encapsulation, halogen free cables, salt fog reinforcement, or
compatibility with VFD operations are also options for Railway
Applications.
The fans can be specified with or without electronic
commutation. Electronically commutated (EC) fans feature standard AC
input power, and extended-life, low-temperature brushless DC motors that
are controlled by maintenance-free electronic circuitry.
In addition to a wide selection of standard products,
Rosenberg’s engineering and manufacturing specialists also offer
application assistance and work directly with customers to develop
customized air movement solutions.
